Description
The first thing you’ll notice about the Howa Chassis Rifle is its distinctive Battleworn Flag Cerakote® graphic treatment. Its performance will keep you reaching for it every time you head to the range. Oh – the price is pretty attractive, too. The .223 Chassis Rifle is built on the renowned Howa 1500 action favored by all sorts of rifle shooters. That means a billet-machined, flat-bottomed receiver with an integral recoil lug, and Howa’s forged one-piece bolt with two-locking lugs and the bolt handle acting as a third, “backup” lug.
Surrounding the Howa receiver is a rock-solid, all-aluminum chassis and an extended forend with plenty of M-LOK™ accessory-mounting slots. The forend free-floats the cold hammer-forged target barrel, which is capped with a Midwest Industries 3-chamber muzzle brake that effectively puts the kibosh on muzzle rise.
To give you excellent control and a comfortable shooting experience with your Battleworn Flag Chassis .223 Rifle, Howa has installed a Luth-AR MBA4 buttstock with adjustable height comb. This links up securely with the chassis via a 5-position mil-spec AR-15 carbine receiver extension tube, so it’ll accept many other aftermarket buttstocks, if you want to upgrade.Action Type: Bolt Action
